Announcement of admission to Partnership and promotion to Senior Associate
With the start of the New Year, we are pleased to announce that Koh Suan Suan has been admitted as a Partner and Muhammad Iqram Bin Zulkupri has been promoted to the position of Senior Associate in the Firm with effect from 2nd September 2021.
We also wish to announce that Allen Cheng has been admitted as a Partner, and Ang Kai Sheng and Brandon Shen Shi Han have been promoted to the position of Senior Associate in the Firm, with effect from 1st January 2022.
KOH SUAN SUAN
Suan Suan’s areas of practice include corporate and commercial, mergers and acquisitions, capital market, and intellectual property. She has advised various local and foreign listed companies on transactions, commercial contracts, as well as corporate exercises. Apart from corporate-related matters, she also handles clients’ local and foreign trademark registration.
ALLEN CHENG
Allen currently practices in civil and commercial litigation and arbitration. Throughout his years of practice in Azman, Davidson & Co, he has advised and acted for various developers and contractors in litigation, adjudication, and arbitration proceedings involving construction-related disputes.
Allen is also experienced in drafting and reviewing construction contracts where he has advised clients on standard forms of construction contract, i.e. PAM, PWD, and FIDIC forms.
Other than construction-related matters, Allen has also assisted and advised clients on, amongst others, landlord-tenant disputes, defamation claims, foreclosure matters, winding up matters and insurance claims.
MUHAMMAD IQRAM BIN ZULKUPRI
Muhammad Iqram has represented local and international clients comprising large corporations, Government-linked companies, small and medium enterprises, registered associations, and individual personalities, both as counsel and junior counsel at all tiers of the Malaysian courts.
Muhammad Iqram’s focus is mainly corporate litigation; share capital reduction, shareholders disputes, corporate rescue mechanisms such as judicial management, scheme of arrangement, corporate voluntary arrangement, winding up affairs, receivership, and insolvency.
Muhammad Iqram is also experienced in corporate advisory. He has advised, assisted, and drafted agreements for clients in various industries, including Housing Developer, Hotels, and Apparel Retailers, Oil and Gas, Education, and Public Transportation.
Other than corporate litigation and corporate advisory, Muhammad Iqram has also advised and assisted clients in general litigation matters.
ANG KAI SHENG
Kai Sheng’s main area of practice is conveyancing, banking and finance and other property-related transactions. He has advised local and foreign clients in respect of the acquisition and disposal of residential, commercial and industrial properties in Malaysia.
Kai Sheng has also advised clients in respect of lease, tenancy and various commercial agreements such as joint venture agreements.
BRANDON SHEN SHI HAN
Brandon’s areas of practice are Construction Litigation and Tax Litigation. Brandon has advised and acted for employers and contractors on construction issues in various arbitration matters, court matters and CIPAA adjudications. He has also advised and acted for taxpayers in various income tax appeals in the Special Commissioners of Income Tax, High Court and Court of Appeal.
